Job Summary:

The Project Accountant is responsible for processing accounting data and delivering financial reports based on regulations, legal guidelines, and departmental procedures within the stipulated time limits. He/she is capable of running his/her own administration system and deliver fast and accurate reports while following procedures in place. The Project Accountant thinks along with his/her line manager and provides input and solutions. He/she schedules and prioritizes his/her tasks, taking into account a heavy workload.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for suppliers on all invoice related questions
  • Aligning completeness of accounts-payable administration
  • Liaising between suppliers, internal operations team, and administrative back office abroad
  • Assisting in digitization of paper invoices and archiving accounting documents in accordance with guidelines
  • Verifying validity of incoming invoices, claims and other payment orders
  • Preparation of monthly VAT and WHT statements
  • Reporting: maintaining the balance sheet, supplying monthly specifications of various accounts
  • Preparation of draft statutory reports in line with local rules and regulations
  • Maintaining various operational overviews such as equipment hires and fuel consumption
  • Maintains the administration of bank statements and cash book
  • Controlling employees’ expense claim procedures

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Administration or Business or Economics
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Timeless, accurate and independent character
  • Affinity with working in a multinational work environment
